165	1999.6.1	Knife and sheath	A decorated silver knife (a) and sheath (b). The knife has no sharp cutting edge. The designs described below are the same on both sides. The hilt of the knife and the sheath are decorated with an ornate scrolling pattern. The pattern is accentuated with raised silver beads and red stones, 3 on each side on hilt and 4 on each side of sheath. The handguard displays the same pattern and is curved. The top curves upward and the bottom downward. In the center of the blade continues a similar scrolling pattern about 6 3/4" in length. The top of the hilt features an elongated red stone, 3/4" in length.
166	2000.15.1	Boot	a. and b. Pair of mid-shin high boots. Soles of leather, wool uppers with toe, heel, and edge trim of red leather. Interior wool undyed, exterior is multi-colored rows and geometric patterns. Back upper is one piece forming the the sides and back and featuring mid-lateral interbedded horizontal chevrons which alternate in color. These chevrons meet in the center of the back upper to form stylized diamonds. Above and below the chevrons are horizontal rows of alternating color giving way to a blue field highlighted by a white interlocking geometric pattern. Front upper depicts a truncated diamond pattern which encloses other stylized designs. Tounge is primarily simple horizontal rows of alternating color, periodicaly interspersed with zigzags and other geometric devices. The anterior portion of tounge exterior is undyed. The tounge edges are finished with yellow yarn. Laces twisted from two yarns, one green the other red. Laces are attached to front, and back uppers as well as through the tounge. Color: RD,BL,WH,GR,GD
167	2000.15.4.1	Brooch	Hand worked silver forming a double layered triangle with a single raised floral element at its center. Anterior is a spike extending ~2.5" with a "C" shaped movable closure at its base. Posterior is an open link. The piece is decorated by a hand-hammered pocking throughout the main triangle. It has three open-work flowers with raised bead centers in each corner of the triangle which surround the central ornament. An etched triangle encloses the centerpiece and connects to each of the surrounding floral elements. There is etching, linear and zig-zag, on the spike and link.
