Bennington No. 5

Bennington #5 was originally built in 1909 to replace an older building. It was closed by 1966, purchased by the Black Hawk County Conservation Board, renovated, and two years later it was moved into Black Hawk Park in Cedar Falls. In 1988 it was moved to First and Washington streets in Cedar Falls, next to the Ice House Museum. As of 2023 it operates as the "Little Red Schoolhouse," a museum owned by the Cedar Falls Historical Society. Photo from the Cedar Falls Historical Society.
