The Sunnyside School (Washington No. 8) was originally built just left of what is now Waubonsie State Park. It was open from 1893 through 1945. In 1969 the building was purchased by the Fremont County Farm Bureau Women and brought to The Fremont County Historical Society's property in Sidney, IA to be restored and used as a museum.
