Roman-roamin

The exhibition titled "Roman-roamin'" is a UNI Permanent Art Collection exhibition co-curated by UNI Professor of Art History Dr. Charles M. Adelman and Gallery Director Darrell Taylor. The concept is all themes Roman and Roman themes through time, and key objects from the art collection are presented including works by Ronald King, Edward Steichen, Amy Worthen, and Joseph Pennell. Ancient Roman artifacts from the UNI Museums will also be presented, most notably Roman glass and coins, which help illustrate the vast influence of this culture over time both geographically and aesthetically. The Gallery wishes to thank the staff of UNI Museums for making this exchange possible. Please note, this exhibition will also be open on the following dates: September 28 – October 24; November 2 – 30; and December 10 – 19.

 

All events are free and open to the public. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Thursday; noon to 5 p.m., Friday and Saturday; and by appointment. The Gallery will be closed September 7 for Labor Day.
