Harrison No. 8 (Current Location)
The Harrison No. 8 schoolhouse opened in 1889. All Harrison township schools closed by 1958 and consolidated with either Greenfield or Stewart community school districts. After No. 8 closed, the building was used as for storage. Eventually, the schoolhouse was donated by Ray and Gladys Rice and moved to the Adair County Historical Museum in Greenfield, IA. In 2003 it underwent repairs after being damaged by lightning. As of 2024 it remains open to the public as part of the museum.
