Ball Jar Company glass spring-top jar produced to commemorate the USA's Bicentennial celebration. The glass is a clear blue with "Ball Ideal" embossed on one side; on the opposite side is an embossed oval containing an image of a bald eagle and the words "Bicentennial Celebration, 1776-1976". The spring-top mechanism is grey metal and holds a dome-shaped glass lid in place via a notch in the glass. Inside the jar is an unattached red rubber seal and a tan pamphlet titled "A Bicentennial Salute" with brown text providing information on the jar and its production. This object is made up of multiple parts, the base (8a), the lid (8b), the red rubber seal (8c), and the pamphlet (8d).
