Previous Governor of Texas, Secretary of the Navy, and Secretary of the Treasury, Connally had quite the background in politics. As Secretary of the Navy, Connally was riding in the car with John F. Kennedy when he was assassinated and was even injured. Connally is a firm believer in the idea that there was more than one bullet in the shooting.
