Paper titled "Esco: Proof of Successful Teaching Experience" that states Aletha Jacobs Hutchison taught in Stout, Grundy County, Iowa, for four years, from Sept. 1916 - June 1920. Signed in Grundy Center by D. R. Earl, the county superintendent for Grundy County. The paired envelope is addressed to Mrs. Aletha Hutchison, Mechanicsburg, PA., and is postmarked from Grundy Center, Oct 25th, 1922.

Aletha Hutchison Jacobs, born in Buchannan County, Iowa, was a teacher for rural schools in Benton County (1900-1902), Buchanan County (1902-1910), Black Hawk County (1912-1916), Grundy County (1916-1920), Wright County (1920-1921), and Webster County (1922). In 1922 she moved to Pennsylvania with her husband, Elmer. There she taught at Hummelstown High School in Dauphin County (1922-1924) and Reamstown School in East Cocalico Township, Lancaster County (1926-1960).
