"Hoover and Curtis". This is a pin in support of the Herbert Hoover and Charles Curtis campaign for the 1928 United States Presidential Election. Hoover and Curtis (Republican) ran against Al Smith and Joseph Robinson (Democratic). Charles Curtis was the first Vice President acknowledged to be of significant Native American and Non-European ancestry. They won the 1928 election in a landslide but lost the 1932 election to Franklin Roosevelt and John Garner because the public did not think that Hoover had it in him to get through the Great Depression.
