Worn by the donor as a freshman in 1936. Iowa State Teachers College Garrison Cap worn by students as freshman. This cap features a yellow panther crouching on one side with "Panthers" written below it and "ISTC Cedar Falls, IA 1936" on the other. This is believed to be part of the freshman initiation that was popular during this era similar to the more known beanies. (Donor graduated in 1940.)
