Blue stripe, 3/8" thick, runs horizontally directly centered on front of button, features the word "delegate" in white letters. Bold blue lettering reads "Republican" and "State Convention"; appears directly at the top and bottom of the button, respectively. Smaller blue lettering which reads "Des Moines' and "July 29, 1964" appears at the top and bottom. The words "Des Moines Rubber Stamp Co." appear in small blue lettering on the side of the the button. Reverse side of the button is silver, and features a pin to affix button to clothing.

This pin is from the 1964 Republican State Convention in Des Moines. In July of 1964 in California, Barry Goldwater and William Miller were nominated for President and Vice President respectively. They lost to Lyndon Johnson and Hubert Humphrey (Democratic) in the November election.
