Black leather diary with tuck-in flap leather clasp. The piece of leather in which the flap tucks under is located on the front cover, and measures 2" lengthy by 3/8" width. The flap is connected to the back cover. The inside of the front cover is pink and gives the name and address of the owner: Leonard E. Crosby. The diary gives the projected moon phases for 1865.
