1997.17.4 (Clock, time recording)

Three parts. A. Clock. Square face, rimmed in brass, cased in tan enameled metal with base. Two buttons on top, green and red for "start" and "stop". Face reads "Aristo TIMER". Left side of dial marked "Basket ball", right side "Football". Outside of dial marked in red, increments of 5, from 5 to 60. Inside of dial marked in black. Right side has numbers 15 - 1 in upper half, 15 - 0 in lower. Last five minutes marked in a red wedge from center of dial to outside. left side, starting at bottom, marked 10-0, then 20 - 0. Two hands, a wider black one with an opening down the center, and a narrower red one. Three chrome knobs on back, two to set times, and one to wind. None can now be turned, due to overwinding in the past. B. Box lid. Navy blue on cream. Shows drawing of clock on top. Reads "The NEW All American ARISTO Football and Basketball Stop Clock No. 135. With Traffic signal START and STOP BUTTONS GREEN Start RED Stop" and describes some of the arrangment. Has original price label, form Iowa Sports Supply co., for $7.50. Two side panels both have information. One repeats information on the lid and refers to directions inside, which are no longer present. The other panel lauds the qulity of the clock and company.
