A sketch was done by Herb Hake of Doug Vernier, the former director of broadcasting at the University of Northern Iowa. Doug Vernier replaced Herb Hake as director. Doug Vernier nominated Hake for the Iowa Broadcasters Hall of Fame, which he won, and to thank him Hake presented him with this ink sketch.
