The cannon is being pulled down a street within a city and three soldiers are standing behind it. Two of the men are shaking hands while houses are in the background. One soldier is straddling the animal while there are two men kneeling on each side of the animal. A wagon is directly behind the men while glimpses of a camp are in the distant background. The men have their rifles over their right shoulder and are all wearing dress military hats. A large three story building and trees are in the background. 851 00.31.11.4.25 Stereograph "French Battleship Leon Gambetta Sunk in the Adriatic." is printed in the front lower right corner. The photos are mounted on grey cardboard and the top of the stereograph is listed '125" at the top of the front. Photos are nearly identical with the battleship being the center of each image in harbor with the shore line in the background. The battleship has one tall mast toward the front, a French flag hung at the very front of the ship, and a short mast in the rear. The ship is made of steel and the engine room is in the center of the structure. Color: BK,WH, GY

The photos are mounted on grey cardboard and the top of the stereograph is listed '126'. Photos are nearly identical with eight Indian soldiers with sword drawn in right hand. All are in full military uniform and standing in open territory with trees in the dsitant background. On the back there is a description about how strange it is to see these men of color mixed with "Western Warriors on Europe's battlefields." Color: BK,WH, GY

The soldiers are between a series of tents which are light colored and are cone-shaped. Each soldier except one is wearing a garrison cap, garrison coat, and campaign boots and pants. Officer is wearing a forage cap, forage jacket, pants, and boots. He has a thin mustache and is looking to his right. Two photos are mounted on grey cardboard with the number "131" at the top of the front side. Photos are nearly identical with a soldier in a trench firing his breech loading rifle. He is wearing a campaign hat, overcoat, and pants and boots. He is standing in a very deep trench, and is standing on steps to fire through the loophole. Photos are nearly identical with a man in a suit and top hat in handcuffs. He has a white beard and is surrounded by two soldiers who are in dress military uniform with rifle and sword. The soldiers are wearing fully decorated chapeau hats with chin strap. They are all on a dirt road with a side of a hill in the background. The back of the slide has a description of spying and how precarious the existence of spies was. The description was tied into World War I and the amounts of espionage that went on before and during the War. Color: BK,WH, GY

Two photos are mounted on grey cardboard with the number "133" on the top of the front side. Photos are nearly identical with the men standing outside in a trench. The men are trench officers and the man on the right is wearing a light colored forage hat, trench coat, and regulation boots. The man on the left is wearing a campaign hat, a dark coat, and dark regulation pants. The man on the right is standing next to a passageway to other areas within the elaborate trench system. The trench they are standing in is more than 10 feet deep. The man on the left is also holding a cane and both men have mustaches. There is a description of trench warfare and trench life on the back of the stereograph. Color: BK,WH, GY

A band is playing in the foreground and spectators are watching on the sides of the street. Large buildings are in the distant background. Many soldiers are carrying lances, which was their main weapon. A description is on the back of the stereograph. Color: BK,WH, GY
862 00.31.11.4.35 Stereograph "French Troops entering Village Captured from the Enemy" is printed in the lower right corner. Two photos are mounted on grey cardboard with the number "135" on the top of the front side. Photos are nearly identical with trench troops and five pack mules with supplies entering a village leveled by artillery fire. The pack mules are in the foreground while a three story building is in the background with just the structure left. The soldiers are all wearing overcoats and the road is muddy. Color: BK,WH, GY
863 00.31.11.4.36 Stereograph "Death and Destruction Follow the Thunder of this French 120 Gun Now Trained on Prussian Lines -- Used in the Big Offensive" is printed in the lower right corner. Two photos are mounted on grey cardboard with the number "136" on the top of the front side. Photos are nearly identical with four artillery soldiers from the French army standing around the gun. There are various trees around and all the leaves have fallen. There are concrete blocks behind the wheels to help support the gun. The soldiers are all wearing dark forage hats, dark pants and jacket. A description is on the back of the slide. The wheels of the gun have a sectional square tread. Color: BK,WH, GY

He is holding a breech loading rifle in his right hand and is standing on steps. The trench has four levels of depth and its structure is supported by wood. Color: BK,WH, GY

Photos are nearly identical with 8 men between sets of railroad tracks on their knees while three others are standing. The men are all wearing various military uniforms but are carrying no visible equipment or weapons. Color: BK,WH, GY
866 00.31.11.4.39 Stereograph "Spoils of War Captured in the Russian Retreat in the East " is printed in the lower right corner. Two photos are mounted on grey cardboard with the number "139" on the top of the front side. Photos are nearly identical with rows of wagons and other modes of transportation lined up with one column in front of another. The wagons in the foreground are all covered and have wooden wheels. There is one soldier in the picture standing guard. The description on the back shows that these materials were acquired from the Russians by German forces during a retreat and represent the spoils and destruction of the war. This was especially true in Poland where the Russian army and the Central Posers have marched back and for the leaving desolation in their place. Color: BK,WH, GY
