1013 2017-19-10 Hypsometer Hypsometer made Yoder Instruments in East Palestine, Ohio. The object sits in a cardboard box with a thin cardboard insert. The box contains three book; ,"The Hypsometer for Action Mathematics",  "Manipulating mathematics laboratory and surveying equipment" and "Field work in Mathematics-Manual-How to use the graphic hypsometer". The box also contains a small metal pendulum and a metal bolt with a washer and wingnut attached. The hypsometer has a sloped grid on it with a metal circle in the top center of the board. 1014 2017-19-11 Hall Level A small hall level filled with green liquid made by Hall Level and Manufacturing Works. The level sits in a cardboard sleeve with the words " Hall Level and Manufacturing Works, General Offices & Factory, 119E 4th ST. Austin, Texas". 1015 2017-31-1 Shoe Brown heeled shoes with brown cotton laces, figure-eight design on face of the shoes, no brand. These were parade shoes used by the donors husband who was a Korean War veteran.  2017-31-1 (Shoe) image

A: Front of the medal has a band around the middle circle with "Duty" at the top, 4 stars on both sides with "Honor", and "Country"  with 5 stars at the bottom. Inner circle has olive branches tied with a ribbon at the bottom and a small image of an eagle with a shield on its chest holding olive branches on the right and a group of arrows on the left; on the back is a soldier under a gate and the South Korean flag. 1018 2017-31-4 Medal Korean War Service medal awarded to Donald Ackman for either 30 consecutive days, or 60 non-consecutive days in Korea during the war. Large yellow stripe down the middle with a thin white stripe with thin red stripes on either side and larger blue stripes to either side of the red stripes. A: Medal is circular with small dots around the border, inside has two bullets crossed at the bottom center with simplistic olive branches on both sides. At top center is the shape of Korea inside a radar circle. B: Ribbon with same colorsd and orientation of stripes,  with a yin-yang symbol in the center of the yellow stripe. 
1019 2017-31-5 Medal United States Marine Corps Commemorative Pin and Ribbon. Fabric base is a dark blue with two vertical red stripes closer to the edge, and a thin white stripe in the center of either red stripe.
1020 2017-31-6 Medal Overseas Service Commemorative Medal awarded to Donald Ackman. Fabric has vertical stripes starting with blue, white, and red strip in the center, with yellow and blue on either side. A: Medal has "Overseas Service" at the top in a banner around medal with "Commemorative" at the bottom and olive branches between the words. Inside are two circles slightly overlapping with the western hemisphere on the left and eastern hemisphere on the right. There are 5 stars below the two circles and a shield at the top with an eagle's head and wings coming out from behind it to drape over the two circles. B: Ribbon that accompanies the medal.
1021 2017-31-7 Medal Korean War veteran medal awarded to Donald Ackman. Metal pin part has a raised black rectangle with "Korean War Veteran" printed on it, with six vertical stripes from left to right: red, yellow, brown, white, light blue, and orange. Hanging from the fabric is a circular medallion. The medallion has Korean lettering at the top and some at the bottom insdie a rectangel with olive leaves on either side with rounded stars between the leaves and the top lettering. Inside is the outline of Korea behind a 3 layered emblem. It has a circle with 4 protrusions colored red with a gold outline, a pentagon with the tips of the star pointing towards each corner, and a red and blue yin-yang. On the back says "Republic of Korea, Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs, and Koreans Veterans Association" separated by a rounded star on both sides.

1045 2017.19.13A Sextant A metal sextant made by Lafayett Instruments INC. The sextant has a wooden handle, two relfecting mirrors and a bubble attachment. The sextant sits in a large wooden box with metal hook latches and a metal handle. A sticker that reads 'Yoder Instuments, East Plaestine, Ohio" is on the handle of the sextant and the top of the wooden box. A water mark on the side of the sextant reads "Sterling Die-Casting, Brooklyn, N.Y." 1048 2018-13-1 Jacket Brown camouflage jacket made by American Apparel Inc. for the US Marine Corps. The name on the jacket is Rosel and there is one pin on the left lapel that is black and of an eagle, and the pin on the right lapel is of a caduceus, the two snakes wrapped around a staff. There is a metal pin above the patch "US NAVY" that has an eagle over the globe and two guns across the world.

1066 2021-8-2 Medal Box containing US Army Commendation Medal with Lapel pin and Ribbon. The medal has a hexagonal medallion hanging from a myrtle green and white ribbon. The ribbon has a thin white stripe on each end and five thinner white stripes in the center. The rest of the ribbon is myrtle green. The front of the medal has an eagle with the U.S. Shield superimposed on its chest, grasping three crossed arrows in its talons. The back of the medallion reads "FOR MILITARY MERIT" with a space to have a name engraved.  There is no name engraved on this medal.  The Lapel pin is a small rectangular shape, myrtle green with thin white stripes on each end, and five thinner white stripes in the middle. The ribbon is a little larger than the lapel pin, and is myrtle green with thin white stripes on each end, and five thinner white stripes in the middle. All are encased in a black box with a silver decorative band on the top, left of center. The words "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" is printed in raised letters on the top in bottom right.
