A government contract medal given to Chamberlain Manufacturing Company in Waterloo, Iowa. Medal, dated November 1984, is commemorating the successful technology, fabrication, and test transfer effort and transition to production in record time. Chamberlain was making 120 mm tank ammunition.

729 2017-10-1 Helmet

American M1 Helmet from the Vietnam War. Outside is textured with scuffs and scratches. Chin strap buckeled on back rim, buckles and fasteners are rusted. Inside, second layer undermetal is plastic with light and dark brown geometric shapes that form a six sided star at crown. Fabric netting missing. Headband of leather attatched to plastic layer with fabric by metal fasteners and rivets. At very back, where the head would be, fabric is attatched with metal and oxidized rivets. Thin aluminum band around rim.

730 2017-10-2 Helmet

American British made M1917 Helmet, short with baout 3.5 cm brim. Textured on top with scratches and scuffs. Rivets on center top and centered on right and left side on brim. Inside, chin strap fasteners have some oxidation, signed Sgt. (indistinguishable) vey L or F (indistinguishable), and black paint smudge on underside. Head netting, ring of leather with slits every 2.5 cm stitched to fabric that partly covers the string weaved netting that is discolored to blue in some places. Tag on iinside bottom, under the nut for the rivet says Tighten Cord, the rest is either gone or indistinguishable.

731 2017-10-3 Helmet

French M15 Adrian Helmet. Outside, top has vent with raised covering, rivets on sides of covering missing. Rim portrudes in front and back more than sides. Emblem on front is a cicle with 'RF' raised, and wavey plume coming from top, all is a seperate piece of metal. Dent on wearer's right side with 'U' shaped scratch that is .5 cm in width. Inside has aluminum perferated strips between the outside metal and leather headband. Netting is six triangular pieces of leather with oxidized eyelets, string for them is only still attatched to one. Chinstrap is thin one piece of leather that is doubled.

732 2017-10-4 Helmet

WWI German Model 1918 Droop-bill helmet. Outside hand painted with geometric shapes in light and dark brown and green with black outlines. On left, of wearer, a painted feather and lightning bolt with an arrow at bottom. Two rivets on both sides at temple and top of ear. Fastener on both sides above templ and slightly back used for sniper shield, wear on paint suggested use of one and flipping it up and down. Other scratches all around. Inside, chin strap has two adjusters that move to center. 3 piece leather netting with two peaks on each with a hole for the string, two eyelets torn, string not broken or untied. On inside of leather netting each has a pouch for a wool pad for cushioning. Signed on back inside bring as R. Müller.

733 2017-10-5 Helmet

WWI German model 1918 Droop-bill helmet. Surface if 90% rusted on outside. Inside is 95% rusted, only some of brim has paint.

734 2017-10-6 Pin

Nazi Party Pin. All but some red around outside circle is left, and a small bit of black in swastika. On outside band after circle around swastica says National-Sozializtiche-D.A.P

Back has item number of M1/27, and a trade mark circle with RZ and M under the first two letters.

735 2017-10-7 Pin

Triangular National Socialist Women's League Pin, point facing down. Outsines all in gold (color not material). At top is a white band with Nat. Soz. Franenschaft. Below that is a white cross over black at center of the cross is a red swastika. On left branch of cross is a gold fancy lettered G, on right a H(possibly another letter), and at bottom of cross an L. Fastener is at top on back, slightly below in the middle is Ges. Gesch.

Damage on front top right corner, scratches and paint chipped.

736 2017-19-1 Sextant

Metal sextant in a black cardboard box. The sextant has a broken reflecter on its front. Sextant has the words "Bronxville, N.Y.' etched on its frame. Black cardboard box contains directions for use and a sticker on its top that reads "Central Scientific co".

737 2017-19-10A Hyposmeter

Hyposmeter made Yoder Instrumsnets in East Palestine, Ohio. The object sits in a cardboard box with a thin cardboard insert. The box contains two books,"The Hypsometer for Action Mathematics" and "Manipulating mathematics laboratory and surveying equipment". The box also contains a small metal pendulum and a metal bolt with a washer and wingnut attached. The hypsometer has a slopped grid on it with a metal circle in the top center of the board. A small graphic depicting the proper use of the hypsometer in the upper left corner of the board.

739 2017-19-11 Hall Level

A small hall level filled with green liquid made by Hall Level and Manufacturing Works. The level sits in a cardboard sleeve with the words " Hall Level and Manufacturing Works, General Offices & Factory, 119E 4th ST. Austin, Texas". The level has the words "Hall Level No.1 U.S.A." etched into the metal on one side.

740 2017-19-12 Observoscope

A plastic observoscope held together by metal screws. The object has the words "Observoscope, Millar Instruments co. INC., Newark, N.J." on one side of it. A sticker on the objects underside reads "Observoscope REG.US.OFF.Star Finder, 1945, I.A. Millar, Newark N.J." The Object sits in a cardboard box with a lable that reads "58070 Observoscope Scient. Instr., Central Scientific Company, Laboratory Supplies Apparatus Chemicals-New York, BOston, Chicago, Toronto, San Francisco". A folded instrunctional book and informational chart sit within the box. Hour, Angle, and date measurments run along the top diameter of the object.

741 2017-19-13A Sextant

A metal sextant made by Lafayett Instruments INC. The sextant has a wooden handle, two relfecting mirrors and a bubble attachment. The sextant sits in a large wooden box with metal hook latches and a metal handle. A sticker that reads 'Yoder Instuments, East Plaestine, Ohio" is on the handle of the sextant and the top of the wooden box. A water mark on the side of the sextant reads "Sterling Die-Casting, Brooklyn, N.Y." A sticker that reads "Property of Iowa State Teachers College" sits on the metal arm of the sextant.

742 2017-19-13B Sextant Bubble Attachment

A metal bubble attachment for a Yoder Instruments sextant. The object sits in a black cardboard box with a small envelope containing two transparent plastic lenses, one red and one blue. A hand written not on the envelope reads "Sun Shades for sextant". A Lable on the front of the box reads "Lafayette Instruments Incorperated, 140 North Market Street, East Palestine, Ohio, Metal sextant bubble attachemtn #12".

Large globe made of cardboard and plaster painted with chalkboard paint. A metal rod runs the length of the shpere on the inside. The Globe sits on a four-legged wooden base. The base has degree, mile, time, and date measurements along its diameter. A sticker on the bottom of the base reads "Property of Iowa Teachers College 9998".

A micrometer made by Central Scientific co chicago, Illinios. The object sits in a blue cardboard box with a sticker on its front that reads "One, 72655, 0-25cm, Micrometer Caliper, Central Scientific Co". A folded piece of paper in the box contains instructions for use.

747 2017-19-5A Hexagon Octagon Blade

A hexagon/octagon blade made by The L.S. Starrett co, Athol, Mass. The object is made of one piece of metal with the word "Hexagon" on its right side and "Octagon" on its left side. The blade has two ends cut at sharp angles.
