4 1995.18.2 Container, bone Composed of bone tube and wood stopper. a. Polished femur, two rows of incised, stained lizard & diamond motifs. Lizards contain diamond & circle motifs. Larger diamonds contain circle motifs. Lines around lower edge of femur, center, and upper edge; upper edge lines filled with circle/dot motif. Lower end of femur stopped with coconut palm wood or shell. Upper end stopped with curved wood stopper, b. Stylized head, painted black & unpainted insert curved from same piece of wood. 5 1995.18.3 Container, bamboo Bamboo container attached to stained & polished wood base with glue. Stopper is of same wood as base. b. Wood knot with carved bird on dorsal side. Bird is in lying position; wings turned upward, head & neck are lowered & wrap around the side of the bird. Bird, possibly in courtship or dying position. a. tube incised with diamonds filled with circle/dot motif. Lime residue in interior. Color: TN,BR
6 1995.18.4 Tube, bamboo Bamboo tube with lid stopped at ends with rubber. Lid fits over inner tube which fits inside the body. Lime residue in interior, and covering the exposed surface of the inner tube. Motifs include coils filled with circle/dot & diamonds. Rubber stop at base of tube is black & purple & resembles the tread of a tennis shoe. Color: TN,BK,PR

Designs on bamboo included diamonds composed of spirals filled with circle/dot motif. some circle/dots painted red, others unpainted. Zig-zag motif circles piece at top, bottom & middle. 8 1995.18.8 Calendar Top block decorated with designs, bamboo dangles attached, with silk cord around base of house. Silk cord loop attached to top. Dangles attached with silk cord through holes in block and top of dangle. 12 dangles, markings separate each one into 30 parts. Color: BR
9 1995.37.28 Mortar, Pestle Two parts. a. Mortar. Larger toward the top than at the base. Top part measures 2 1/2" wide and base 1 3/4" wide. Designs on the exterior. b. Pestle. Long, round. Two linear carvings in the mddle and one at the smaller end. Color: BR
10 1995.37.34 Figurine, Crocodile Crocodile. Head is 5 3/4" long with a tail measuring 6 3/8". There is a turtle 3 1/2" long on top of the crocodile. The grain of the wood runs along the length of the crocodile. Head of the object is disproportionately bigger than its body. Color: BR
11 1995.37.43 Figurine Carved. Nose is almost a beak; it connects to the chest. Carving designs on the biceps, wrists, and ankles. Object is wearing a hat and stands on a circular base. Face is very long and the object is wearing a steeple-shaped hat. Color: TN
12 2003.25.6 Hanging Can be fanned out or accordioned so that the individual pieces are between two wooden covers. Has ten thin pieces of wood connected by a string through the middle. Inked, drawn designs of possibly the great Hindu epic Ramayana. Each piece of wood has a punched hole on either end of it, that originally also had a string running through it. On back of pieces of wood is written words in either Indonesian or Balinese. Writing is very small, written toward the bottom of wood. The two covers are of a thicker cut of wood and are brown speckled. Top cover has a sticker that says "This item designated for Sue Grospel (sic) by Dorothy Sweet Grant." also a thin label that says "Bali" is attached by tape alongside that label. Color: BR,TN
