"%)" isdeciperable, like an ink stamp. "Colombia" is written in black ink, permanent on green iron-on fabric attached to the inside of the hat.
2	1998.17.0001	Hat	Headpiece. Wire is shaped to create two flowers, each with five petals. Three wires connect the two flowers. These three wires begin at the center of the flower and gently arch to the conter of the other flower. The wires are covered with velvet. The combinarion of the velvet and wire resemble pipe cleaners.

Has dropped bodice section that forms tiny sleeves and a cowl in back. Pointed waist. Full circular skirt, short and floor length. Pattern used to make prom dress and also used for high school chorus concert for Elizabeth, grandaughter of donor using half circle skirt. Style 2 has shaped collar that opens to a V neckline and buttons lower. Both styles 1 and 2 have front buttoned bodice with extended shoulders scalloped at the armhole edges making cape style sleeve. Panelled skirt in back features a double row of gathers at front wasitline each side. No gathers at center front or in back. Simplicity Pattern # 2473.
