3 1975.27.1 Head, shrunken Shrunken head, brownish tan with dark brown pulled up on top and tied into ponytail with a cord. Eyebrows & eye lids have hair, same color. Back is flat with hair all over. Open at bottom & below. two strings through lips at each side.
4 1975.27.2 Shrunken Head Shrunken head, dark brown with black hair, eyebrows, eye lids. Wide mouth with 2 pieces of string through lips, one on each side. Flat back with hair. Open bottom, hollow. A fake reproduction to show the Jivaro process of shrinking heads.

6 1992.33.2.11 Ashtray Cow horn. Oval shape with a strip folded over to make a handle. Striped black and amber, incised design on bottom of bowl.
7 1992.33.2.12 Bag Woven fiber talego (shopping bag) that is tied in knots. The fibers are pliable, enabling it to stretch and condense depending on what is in the bag.
8 1992.33.2.13 Cup One half of gourd, with stem as handle. Carved in half and hollowed out.
9 1992.33.2.3 Cinch Woven fiber with loop at one end and wooden hook at other end. Made from branch bark. 8 rows of braided fibers and animal hair. The fibers are a light tan, blonde color and the animal hair is black and blonde. This was used on mules to attach a pack for carrying items.
10 1992.33.2.7 Comb Brown, double toothed comb made of horn. FThe comb has squiggly designs on it starting at the base and creating a boarder behind the teeth of the comb. Design is on both sides but the back of the comb is a much lighter shade of horn than the front.
11 1992.33.2.9 Molinillo Carved, with six blades. Functions like a whisk, it is held with the narrow stem between two palms and rubbing back and forth. The blades create a froth in the drink. Used for drinks like hot chocolate.
12 1998.20.21 Cage, animal Shaped like a house with sloped roof. Round hollow bamboo rods create support for sturcture, edges of roof, walls, and floor. Small bamboo sticks create actual cage by connecting large rods and enclosing the cage. The door is on the side, and is held in place with a bamboo stick. The "lock" is another bamboo stick that can be removed.
13 2004.25.17 Talisman Ankle bone of a llama. Carved similar to human figure statues at Tiahuanaco, with indentation for neck, square eye sockets and arms at sides and hands on belly. Carving lines are precise. "TIAHUANOCO" is written on the back in black marker. Bone is worn smooth at the joint and rough, showing marrow at the base. An image of an idol resembling Ponce Stela from the Tiwanaku temple Kalasasaya. Carved into the ankle bone of a llama. Llamas held a high importance among the Tiwanaku culture as they were essential for transportation of goods and food. Originally an egalitarian empire, stratification of classes started with the seizing of llama herds for control over the food supply.
