1 2021-23-1 Game Ball Round game ball made of stone. Stone is dark gray with with multiple scuff marks. Found near Snag Creek near the Brown Bottle Restaurant. 
2 2021-23-10 Arrowhead This arrowhead is composed of many smaller stone pieces. Stone has multiple shades of gray and white. One shoulder of the point is barbed, other shoulder has been chipped off leading to a tapered edge. Bottom of object is concave. Blade edge is flaked. Found near West Fork River.
3 2021-23-11 Arrowhead Light pink arrowhead. Color disapates from pink to white/brown. Stem is straight and tapered. Blade edges are notched and dirt is in the small cracks in object. Found near Shellrock River. 
4 2021-23-12 Arrowhead Beige arrowhead that is made of a gritty, crystalized stone. Stem of object is straight, two notch marks in object. Edges of arrowhead are rough and the point of object is cracked off. Found near Shellrock River.
5 2021-23-13 Awl Awl shaped stone that has large notch marks on one side of object. Color is gray with light brown spots. In the middle of the notched side is a fossil of a shell. "This was found with other arrowhead Found in Plowed Field east of Fitchford. 
6 2021-23-14 Projectile Point Long sharp projectile point. On both faces of blade are red/pink/orange coloring right in the center. Bottom of blade has a concave edge. Two notch marks above stem. Blade is knapped very well, all sides are serrated. Found near base of bluff by Sportsmans Club. 
7 2021-23-15 Pottery Shard Ceramic pottery shard that has a gradient of red/orange to brown on both sides. One side of object has a linear pattern. Pottery shard has remnants of dirt. Found in Washington Park Cedar Falls, in Dry Run Creek. 
8 2021-23-16 Pottery Shard Ceramic pottery shard that is dark brown. There are linear patterns on one side of shard, light orange can be seen between the lines. Found between New Hartford and Parkersburg. 
9 2021-23-17 Projectile Point Flint projectile point. One face of object is gray and white, opposite face is dark gray with light brown tones. Bottom of object is flat with two notch marks on blade shoulders. Object is very smooth, has been knapped very well. Found on gravel bar. 
10 2021-23-18 3/4 Grooved Axe Stone 3/4 grooved axe. Found by Janesville near Newell Cemetary by Cedar River. Axe is speckled with colors such as black, gray, brown. 
11 2021-23-19 Projectile Point Small projectile point. Two large notch mark on the shoulders, bottom of object is concaved. Color of object is pink, light brown and white. Object is knapped all over. 
12 2021-23-2 Game Ball Round light gray game ball made of stone. There are 2 smaller scuff marks and 2 larger breaks in the stone. The stone smells distinctly like dirt. Comes with a slip of paper that reads "Found in Field in New Hartford Hills"
13 2021-23-20 Projectile Point Gritty, sandy projectile point. Two large notch marks at shoulder of lithic, bottom edge of object is straight. There are some reflective portions in the object "DAD" is written on bottom of object in pen. Object is notched but not smoothed. Found on gravel bar on Cedar River.
14 2021-23-21 Flake Flake from notched stone that is red/orange in color. One side of object is completely smooth with a small dark circle. Opposite side of object has a few large knapping marks and a larger dark circle. Found near Ulrich Park by Cedar River. 
15 2021-23-22 Flake Light colored stone flake. One side of object is smooth, with the stone showing small circles clumped together, a bit reflective. There are dark lines going through the stone. Triangle shaped but no discernable point. Found near Ulrich Park by the Cedar River.
16 2021-23-23 Projectile Point Small projectile point. Edges of blade are serrated, two deep notch marks, flat bottom. Color is light gray with some light brown coloring. Faces of blade are not smooth. Found near Ulrich Park by Cedar River. 
17 2021-23-24 Core Beige colored stone core. There are many large and small notch marks all over the object. Many circular points are present from knapping. Found near Ulrich Park by Cedar River. 
18 2021-23-25 Core Stone core that has one side unknapped with natural stone. There is a large drop on the natural stone side. The side that has been broken has a smooth face with dark gray, orange and white coloring. Found near Ulrich Park by Cedar River. 
19 2021-23-26 Awl Stone awl. The stone has red coloring in the top layer. The shape of the stone is a heart split down the middle. There are large knap marks that reveal the light color of inner stone. Found near Ulrich Park by Cedar River. 
20 2021-23-27 Fossilized Shell Fosslized acorn shell, found in a plow field near Finchford, Iowa. 
21 2021-23-28 Projectile Point Stone projectile point that appears to have been broken off of original point. Object is shaped like a shark fin. One side of object is knapped well and has a gradient of gray and brown. Opposide side is bumpy terrain. Found on Lubbert Farm west of Fork River on gravel bar. 
22 2021-23-29 Trilobite Fossil Chunk of limestone that has a almost intact trilobite fossil. The coloring on the fossil is darker than the rest of the limestone. Found near Hartman reserve by Cedar River. 
23 2021-23-3 Arrowhead Red, brown, gray, white stemmed projectile point. Stem is straight and appears to be notched off. Triangle point top, edges are serrated. Found near Ulrich Park Area.
24 2021-23-30A Mortar Mortar that belongs to 2021-23-30B. Dug up in John H's yard, on Cooley Street, near Cedar River in Cedar Falls. Mortar is made of sandstone. 
25 2021-23-30B Pestle Pestle that belongs with Mortar number 2021-23-30A. The bottom of the pestle is worn down rock to the point it is almost smooth. John H dug this up in his yard on Cooley Street, near the Cedar River in Cedar Falls. 
26 2021-23-31 Shaft Straightener Shaft straightener made of dark stone that has been worn it is now soft. The top of the object has a curved edge which is where the straightening process happens. The stone is still very dirty. There is a large dark rectangle on one side of object made of synthetic residue. Found on the Turkey River near Elgin, Iowa. 
27 2021-23-32 Vertebrae Fossilized vertebrae that has been carbonized. Item has a light shade of gray as the original color, but has become mostly white with bone marrow visible all over object. The bone has two navy/black points of carbonization present. 
28 2021-23-33 Tool A stone tool with unknown use, gritty sandstone brown colored mineral with an almost perfect carved spherical hole in center of object. Other side of rock has been worn down to see sphere from opposite side of object. Each corner of object is carved to a soft point, ending in a rectangle shape. The hole is approximately 1 1/2 cm.
29 2021-23-36 Lithic Stone which has been softened either by excess use or natural rock formation. Stone is a dark brown color with termite-like indentations all over rock. Object has white impact marks on one edge of rock. Object could have been used as a hammer stone, but probably not an axe as there are no holding indents. 
30 2021-23-4 Projectile Point Light pink and beige colored projectile point. Bottom of lithic is concave, triangular shape with tappered edges. Found near Ulrich Park Area.
31 2021-23-5 Hand-axe Gray, brown, white stone tool. Hand-axe shaped. Stem is broken off, lithic is tear drop shaped. knotched edges. Found near Ulrich Park Area.
32 2021-23-6 Hand-axe Brown stone hand-axe. One large notch on lithic that concaves. Red is seen on the edges on the stone. A small lighter colored section is present. Found near Cedar River near Alridge Park.
33 2021-23-7 Awl Dark brown bone awl that has been worked with so much that the awl is now smooth. Bone marrow can be seen on the sides of the lithic. Bottom of lithic is smooth, four points meet the awl point on opposite end. 
34 2021-23-8 Awl Dark brown bone possible awl. One side of point is smooth and shiny. The opposite face of object is completely filled with bone marrow that has been smoothed down. The stem of the object has a divot in the middle that is rounded, almost as if it has been used for shaping. Found near West Fork River. 
35 2021-23-9 Scraper Small multi-colored scraper. Two sides of object, one side is completely smooth with no notches. Opposite side of object is rounded out near the bottom, it is tear drop shaped. Notched to become round. Found near West Fork River.
