They are all wearing red pointed hats; three have green shirts and red pants, two have red shirts and green pants. One is wearing a red and green scarf. "Glaedelig Jull" is printed in red in the upper left corner. Vague imprints of a postmark are on the upper right side. The stamp has been removed from the back. It is addressed to "Miss Alice Wynegar, Main Street, Cedar Falls, Iowa, U. S. A." The message written in black reads "Dear Alice: A Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year from your old friend, Eva." Near bottom in different handwriting "Gulbergsgade 127 Copenhagen." In blue ink after the name Eva Johnson whose grandparents lived 12th & Washington. 403 1996.22.28 Postcard "Dear Little Parman". 1 year. There is a poem following the intoduction, and is concluded by "Lovingly Yours, Mrs. Carl Atkins - Cradle Roll Department Superintendent." One child, one candle, and a bed are pictured at the top of the card. The top of the card has a blue background while the rest of the card has a white background. 406 1996.22.31 Postcard "Best Wishes." Off-white background with 3 purple flowers in the center of the card. The impression of each flower is pressed into the card. Small flowers are pressed into each corner of the front. However, the flowers in the corners have no color. There is gold trim along the outside of the card. Two dogs are with them and the rider in the middle of the picture has an aristocratic hunting outfit on. 421 1998.5.12 Postcard Front has a picture of the Presbyterian Student Center. The center is a large white building with a blue shingled roof. There is a tree off to the right. The back of the postcard has a 13-cent U. S. stamp in right corner. The left corner has a small paragraph describing the Presbyterian Student Center. Written in blue ink under the paragraph "Black Hawk Count Town Meeting. Tuseday March 29 7:00 p.m. at the Historical Society Rosemary". 422 1998.5.30.1 Invitation Two parts. a. Invitation to see the first campaign stop of the Reagan-Bush re-election bid in 1984. It was sent in an envelope (b.) mailed from "Republican Headquarters P. O. Box 1978, Waterloo, Iowa 50704." to Pauline L. Sauer, 610 W. 28th Street, Cedar Falls, iowa 50613" "Presdential Invitation" is stamped in red. The post office stamped the envelope "Waterloo, Iowa Feb. 15, 1984" and there is a USA 20-cent stamp in the right corner. On the back it says in pencil "for possible exhibit: the campaign trail." The letter has stationery that says it is from the Republicans of Black Hawk County and is signed by Don Redfern, Maynard Olson and John Curran. It is addressed to "Dear Fellow Republicans" and the text of the letter is cut into four segment statements. Color: WH,BL,RD,BK
423 1998.5.30.3 Ticket "President Reagan visits Waterloo, Feb. 20, 1984, McElroy Auditorium," The left side of ticket has a red border while the right side has a blue border. In the middle of the ticket it states that "Doors open at 1:00 p.m. Present this ticket at Door. No Reserved Seating." The background of the ticket is white with a blue Presidential Seal. 424 1998.5.31 Booklet "Souvenir Folder of State College of Iowa, Cedar Falls, Iowa. 14 views in natural color" printed in red and then black lettering with a yellow background on the front cover. In the lower right hand corner of the front cover is a picture of the Commons. Also on the front cover in the upper right hand corner is a square that says "Place Stamp Here." Below that on the cover are three lines where an address is to be written. On the back cover is a picture of the Arts and Industries Building at the State College. Part of the shot is also a flap which closes inside the bottom of the picture. When opened the booklet opens to reveal twelve more views of the campus. Included on the inside are the Campanile, Auditorium Building, "Old" Administration Bujilding, Library, Baker Hall, Music Hall, Regents Hall Conplex, Men's Gymnasium, Bartlett Hall, Women's Gym, Campbell Hall, and Lawther Hall. A series of trees is on the far side of the road while a picket fence occipies the right side of the road. The right side of the church has a tall steeple.
