There is an illustration with two knights and a lady wearing a crown on top of the Virginia coat of arms. Some mild coating of an unknown substance is on the cover. Inside front cover is a stamp for wright county schools, township Norway, district #5.

Part of the Romance of Science Series, a textbook on biology written to appeal to children. Green Cover with a Darker green title, borders, and images of two bears on their hind legs, as well as the image of a frog and a mouse. Inside cover has stamp listing the book as a former rural school library book, dated to 1932, and paid for by the library fund. the word 'Library' also written in pencil on the inside cover.

The name "Noble Brockshink, Norway Iowa Sept. 1918" written into cover. First page has been written on in Ink " For- Florine's family,  this book was used by Noble, Opal, & Sylvia Brockshink,  Martha Jane Brockshink gave it to Sylvia"

This book had been used by Elsie Oler and belonged to Gladys Holland, a 10th grade student at Amta High from 1939-1940. Gladys Holland later became a rural school teacher. This book was copywritten in 1929 and published y Norwood Press J.S. Cushing Co. - Berwick & Smith Co. Norwood, Mass., U.S.A. 
18 2021-22-32 Book A blue book with two children eating from bowls on the front cover titled, "Healthy Bodies". This book was a part of the Healthy Life Series published by the John C. Winston Company and copywritten in 1940. The book was written by John Guy Fowlkes, PhD, Zora Z Jackson, and Arnold S. Jackson, MD, FACS. This book had belonged to Gladys Holland, a rural school teacher, who would have used the book to instruct her students on how to best take care of themselves.

This book was written by Wilbur L. Beauchamp, Harriet M. Fogg, Gertrude Crampton, and William S. Gray and published by Scott, Foresman and Company copyright 1935. This was an elementary science book used by rural school teachers to educate their students about science.

Lawson and published by the Beckley Cardy Co. copywritten in 1932. This book had been Gladys Holland's in 1943. Miss Holland had been a rural school teacher and this book about children's health helped her educate her students on how to be healthy. 
21 2021-22-36 Book A brown and red book featuring an image of a girl speaking into a microphone entitled, "English Activities Grade Seven" published by the American Book Company and copywritten in 1936. Dean Holland used it from 1946 to 1947.  This book of English activities would have been used by other 7th graders such as Dean to learn things such as public speaking, writing, editing, and other English concepts.
