2 1988.33.22 Book "Story Hour Readers Primer" by Ida Coe and Alice Christie. 122 pp. Illus in color. Consists of various story poems such as Bunny Bunting, Red Hen and Brown Fox, Mother Hubbard, Jack Horner, Humpty Dumpty, Bo Peep, etc. The outside cover is brown with a black line going around it to form a box. Inside the box the title is written in black. Under this is a drawing of what looks like Mother Goose. She is standing in profile inside an oval. At her feet is a white goose holding a staff. The background is yellow on the top half and black on the bottom half. Under the oval is "Coe and Christie" written in black. The spine reads "Primer - Story Hour Readers" "American Book Company" all in black. The back cover shows a small book lying open with the lette4rs "B" and "C" on the open pages. On each side of the book is a wing. In the center of the book is a staff that is taller than the book and has light shining from the top. The front and back inside cover is made of dark and light green squares. All the dark squares have a drawing in them, some people, but mostly animals. Some of the pictures are outlined in pencil. The second has fantasy tales, the third stories about animals, the fourth is about farm life. Five is about holidays, six tells of the United States. Seven is folktales, eight is about workers. Nine tells of pioneer days, ten is silly stories, eleven is about birds, twelve is lessons from life, thirteen is tales of adventure and fourteen is stories of days past. The cover is brown and has a black line going around it. Inside the line written in black "Story Hour Readings". Below that is "Fourth Year." At the bottom is "Hartwell". The inside cover page has written in black ink "Ethel, Marie Flom, Wesley, Iowa." The back cover has in the center a book lying open with a feathere wing on either side. In the center is a torch. Under this is a curved branch and below this is "Book Two". At the bottom is "Potter, Jeschke, Gillet", all in black. The inside cover page has written in back ink "Anna Flom". There are stories about Lincoln, The Patriot, The Blue & The Gray, Old Ironsides, etc. After each story or poem is a section called Notes & Exercises that asks the reader to look deeper into the story & gives related stories to read. The outside cover is red and has two black lines gling around it. Inside the box the lines make is "Studies in Readings", "Searson & Martin", "Eighth Grade", all in black. Under the writing is a scrolled shield like picture also done in black. Under this written in black is "The University Publishing Company". 47 2016-FIC-151 Book Essentials of Spelling by Henry Carr Pearson and Henry Suzzallo. Cover is a brown/green with dark red text. There are a couple of black ink stains on the front cover. Edges and corners are worn. Portions of the cover on the binding are tearing. Binding is weak, but the pages are still attached. A piece of paper is glued on the front interior cover that says, "Property of Frederika No. 3 Book No. 336 School Library." There are some notes and additional markings throughout the pages. Book is 196 pages including the reference section.

Edges and corners are slightly worn. Binding is strong and pages are attached. A piece of paper is glued on the front interior cover that says, "Propety of Frederika No. 3 School Library Book No. 67." There are some markings throughout the pages. Book is 432 pages.
