The bottom half of the binding cover is missing. Book is very fragile and unstable. Pages are detaching in chunks. Book is 342 pages.

Edges are extremely worn. Handwritten notes and names are written on the inside pages. Images and letters have been stamped in pink on the first page. Holes are punched out in the bottom right corner and top edge. Notes and doodles are throughout the book. A house is drawn on the back interior cover. Holes are punched in the last page. Book is 208 pages including appendix. 
28 2016-16-28 Book Health Lessons Book Two by Alvin Davison. Cover is brown with dark brown text and borders. An image of two people, a boy and girl, playing tennis is outlined in dark brown as well. A large ink stain is present in the top right corner. Binding is damaged and angled. Pages are attached but are vulnerable to removal. "Dorthy Conn Parkersburg, Iowa R. F. D. No 2. Box 58" is written in black ink on the first page. Black ink stains are visible on the lask pages. "HAROLD Kenneth" is written in pencil on the last page parallel to the binding crease. Book is 288 pages including index. 
29 2016-16-29 Book Good Health: Book One by Frances Gulick Jewett. Cover is green with dark green borders and text. A boy playing baseball is pictured below the title. Edges and corners are worn. The top of the binding is beginning to separate. Three different names are written on the first page, "Miss Virginia Lee Clabough, Thelma Johnson, and Miss Mary Lou Clabough. "4th Grade" is written in the top right corner of first page. Book is 174 pages including glossary. 
30 2016-FIC-126 Book Standard Educational Series Pronouncing Speller published by Standard School Book Company. Cover is green, with dark green text and floral pattern. Binding is black and coming undone. Corners and edges are extremely frayed. Pages are extremely fragile and coming unattached; some are missing. Notes are made periodically. Book is 144 pages.

34 2016-FIC-131 Book Experiments in Elementary Agriculture: A Laboratory Manual for the Public Schools by William Harold Davis. Cover is plain with black simple borders and text. Notes and markings are periodically present. Booklet experienced some mositure damage as apparent by cover and throughout the pages. "Minnie Stauss" is written in pencil across the top. The back corner of cover and last half of the pages are torn. Pages are attached to binding. Book is 73 pages. 
35 2016-FIC-137 Book Modern Spelling Book by unknown author and publisher as the title and publication pages are missing. Cover is brown with and elegant image of a building and girl reading. Binding is deteriorating, severely weak and pages are loosening. Pages are torn and fragile. Book does not start until page 7 and goes to 158. A pink stain is on the back cover. Notes are made on the back cover. 
36 2016-FIC-138 Book The Century Spelling Book by J.B. Aswell, Joe Cook, and S.G. Gilbreath. Cover is grey with black text and borders. "Glen Earl Halling Schaller, Iowa" is written in pencil on the back interior cover. Binding is strong and pages are attached. Bottom edges and corners are worn. Book is 182 pages. 
37 2016-FIC-158 Book English Composition: Book One by Brooks. Cover is red and very faded. Edges and corners are frayed. Title is extremely faded. There are a couple of black ink stains on the front cover. Binding is weak, but the majority of the pages are still attached. Some of the first pages are missing so it is uknown who is the author, the publisher, or what year it was published. There are notes written in blue on the front interior cover. A note written above the preface says, "Copyright 1911." Notes and markings are made throughout the pages. Scribbles in green crayon are drawn in the back. Book is 294 pages including the index. 
38 2016-FIC-58 Book Review: English Grammar for Secondary Schools by Edward A. Allen. Cover is blue with gold text. First page says, "1913 Mrs. Hugh Hickle Shellrock To: Pearle Miller; Shellrock, Iowa June 20-13." Book is 169 pages including the index. 
39 2016-FIC-59 Book Studies in Reading by J.W. Searson and George E. Martin. Cover is red with a black border and text. A note is on the back cover that says, "Do not steal this book for fear of life for here comes dad with the butcher knife." First page says, "Do not steal this book for fear of shame for hear you see the owners name. Mr. Fay Conn, Parkersburg, Iowa." A moisture stain has affected the edges of the pages and caused the cover to bleed pink. Book is 279 pages.

46 2016-FIC-99 Book The Tribune Primer  by Eugene Field. Cover has to different floral patterns. Two-thirds is a blue and green flower pattern and the other one-third is gold and surrounds the title. Part of the cover is missing. The first page says, "To Anna From Nora 1903." The page numbers are rewritten at the bottom of each page. Binding is weak and pages are beginning to detach.
