The booklet is made up of a large compliation of pictures of black students at the University of Northern Iowa. Each page includes pictures and a statement to go along with said pictures. For example, one page includes the following, "I lift up my head because I am proud of the skin I'm in." The black student union originally formed in October 1972 making 2022 the 50th anniversary. The union was formed in order to make campus a more welcoming and inclusive space for students of color. |
