4 1994.21.9 Shoe Each made of one block of wood, rectangular in shape with rounded corners. Elevated with two blocks of wood, 1 1/4" x 3" x 1 1/2". One is 1" from heel, the other 4 1/2" from heel. One hole near front end, two near back for thong to be passed through and knotted. Thong is twine with multi-colored cloth stitched around it. Red undercoat with yellow and orange flowers, green leaves, and "Okinawa, 1950" painted in yellow on each heel. Color: ML
