She taught at several schools (primarily grades 5-8) in the 1940s, 1950s, and 60s, most of which were in Moultrie County, Illinois. This list includes Forest Hill/District 40, Bolin/District 16, Union/District 51, Bethany Community Consolidated Grade School, Lowe High School, and Sullivan High School. Richardson had also attended the Lowe and Sullivan schools growing up.
