2 1993.37.17 Braid Pigtail braid. 3 strands black string tied together at top. At bottom, raindrop shaped piece wrapped with dark yellow thread. The bottom tip of the raindrop is wrapped with a gold weave. Underneath it is a star fruit-shaped bead. This bead is missing on one of the strands. A pyramid sequence of gold beads follow, then a line of small, circular red beads. Black string tassels follow the red beads. The ends are decorated with glass and light-weight metal beads. 3 1993.37.20 Scarf Scarf, white net. Body is an off-white netting with glass beads. The beads are arranged in flower designs in the center and lines of the glass beads along the sides. A pink sticky liquid has had contact with the scarf. Three areas of the scarf have this substance on it. The border of the scarf is marked with a narrow border of 1/4" wide lace. "India" is printed in pink permanent ink on an iron-on label that is found along the border of the scarf. Color: WH
4 1993.37.21 Shirt Bordered with gold thread 2" wide on the front sides and in back. 5 1/2" deep along bottom front and bottom back. The design is tightly arranged designs of plants vines and flowers. The collar is also bordered with the gold thread border. The border continues on the inside hem behind the buttons and buttonholes halfway down and is exposed near the neck where the shirt opens at the center. Buttons are covered with the gold embroidery. The inside of the shirt is spaced with elephants embroidered in the same gold thread. Color: CR
5 2003.11.2 Dress Adjustable sleeveless dress with two ties on sides of waist. Front neckline is open, with overlapping bodice panels. Right bodice piece ties on inside to leftside, while left bodice buttons on outside at right, above waist. Small gold button goes into loop. At waist are side panels that wrap around back and tie. 6 2003.11.3 Apron Rectangular apron formed by 3 vertical panels with ribbons attached at sides at apron strings. Each panel has selvage edges which are hand-sewn together. Top and bottom of apron have simple hems. Stripes are varying widths in seven different colors, brown, green, yellow, pink, white and blue. Ribbon strings are tan, brown and royal blue flowered embroidery. Color: ML

10 2003.26.19 Blouse Keyhole detail on back of collar with a metal snap holding the collar together. Covering this snap is a button covered in same pink fabric as blouse itself. Around the front of the collar is a strip of fabric 7 1/2'' long that has been sewn in a ruffed pattern. On each end of the fabric strip is a bow. Below the fabric strip in center of shirt below collar are two fabric covered buttons. All of the buttons, bows and other details have been made of the same fbric as the blouse.
