101 1998.5.38 Postcard "German Evangelical Church, Cedar Falls, Iowa" written in red letters at the top of the front side. Shows a road leading to the church. A series of trees is on the far side of the road while a picket fence occipies the right side of the road. The right side of the church has a tall steeple. On the back the card is addressed to "Miss Nellie G. Watson, Hazleton, Iowa." There is also a short letter on the back along the left margin. It has been postmarked and has a one-cent Ben Franklin stamp. The postmark is "Cedar Falls, Iowa, April 25, 1910, 8 A. M." Color: BK,WH,RD 1998.5.38 (Postcard) image
102 1998.5.39 Postcard "Carnegie Dayton Library, Cedar Falls, Iowa" written in black leters in the top left hand corner. Colorized engraving of the library, with the library grey while grass and trees are bright green. There are two ses of steps leading to the entrance and the doorway has two pillars on the left and right. Addressed to "Miss nellie Watson, Hazelton, Iowa." Postmarked "Cedar Falls, Feb. 19, 7 P. 107 1998.5.44 Postcard The front side shows the Student Union with a very large evergreen tree as the focal point. The area leading to the building is brick pavement while the Union is made of brick and concrete. In the background, the science building can be seen on the left and Gilchrist Hall (formerly South hall) is on the right side of the photo. 108 1998.5.45 Postcard "The High Rise - Bender and Dancer Halls, University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, Iowa" is printed in green letters with a white background on the back of the postcard. The front side has a photo of the two buildings made of concrete with rows of windows. The two buildings are connected by a structure that houses the dining hall among other things. 109 1998.5.46 Postcard "Music Building, Northern University of Iowa, Cedar Falls, Iowa" is printed in black letters in the upper left hand corner of the back of the card. Just below that "Now the University of Northern Iowa" is printed. The building shot on the front side is a close look at the entrance, focusing on the three art sculptures in front of the entrance. There is a v-shaped alignment of bushes that form around the sculptures. The building is a single story structure made of brick and concrete. Color: WH,BK,GR
110 1998.5.47 Postcard "Campanile - State college of Iowa" is printed in black letterson a white border at the base of the front side of the card. The campanile is a tall, narrow structure made of bricks and cement dominating the surrounding view. Two large trees are to the left of the structure while there are trees in the background and to the right. The sky in the back ground is blue with no clouds. The back of the card is addressed to "Pauline Sauer c/o UNI Museum" and is from University Book and Supply. A brief note is also written.
