The forms listed are: 5 Notices of Meetings, 3 Nominations of School Directors, 3 Certificates of Election of Officers, 1 Certificate of Appointment, 1 Secretary’s Bond, 1 Treasurer’s Bond, 1 School Depository Bond, 3 Secretary’s Reports of Teachers Employed, 6 Teacher’s Contracts, 1 School Census Report, 3 Teacher’s Term Reports, 3 Secretary’s Financial Reports, 3 Information Blanks. Of these documents, 5 Notices of Meetings, 3 Certificates of Election of Officers, 2 Teacher’s Contracts, 1 School Census Report, 1 Teacher's Term Report, 1 Certificate of Tax Voted, and 3 Secretary’s Financial Reports have all been torn out.
2	2017-16-19	Booklet	“School Orders For All School Districts” a pre-printed booklet of checks for school officials to use, with attached receipts. A faded white cover. About a quarter of the checks have been used, with filled out receipts. The rest of the booklet is blank checks and receipts.

4	2017-16-21	Booklet	“Drafts on the Treasurer of the County” and “Orders on the Treasurer of Independent District,” a two-sided receipt book for use by Iowa school district. Brown cover with dark brown binding. The “Drafts on the Treasurer” side has preprinted documents to submit to the county treasurer to receive tax revenue, attached to a receipt column for easy recordkeeping. The “Orders on the Treasurer of the Independent District has preprinted documents to fill out in order to charge school expenses to the correct school account, also with an attached receipt column. All of the “Drafts on the Treasurer of the County” forms are unused. All of the “Orders on the Treasurer of the Independent District” forms have been used, leaving only filled out receipts.
5	2017-16-22	Book	A school receipt book, used by a district secretary or treasurer to pay expenses from school funds and record the transactions. The cover is heavily damaged, with about half the front and back cover gone. All the checks have been torn out and cashed, leaving only the receipts.

On the cover is a list of forms inside, the amount of forms, and how they are to be used in compliance with Iowa education law. The forms listed are: 5 Notices of Meetings, 3 Nominations of School Directors, 3 Certificates of Election of Officers, 1 Certificate of Appointment, 1 Secretary’s Bond, 1 Treasurer’s Bond, 1 School Depository Bond, 3 Secretary’s Reports of Teachers Employed, 6 Teacher’s Contracts, 1 School Census Report, 3 Teacher’s Term Reports, 3 Secretary’s Financial Reports, 3 Information Blanks. Of these forms, 5 Notices of Meeting, 3 Certificates of Election of Officers, 1 Certificate of Tax Voted, 4 Teacher’s Contracts, and 3 Secretary’s Financial Reports have been torn out. Note: 1 Certificate of Tax Voted and 1 Secretary’s Financial Report are clipped to the booklet, having been torn out and left blank.

A booklet of newly approved books for Iowa schools, with short descriptions and prices. A note is written in pencil above the table of contents, "I have checked books on the following pages. p. 9, p. 29, p.32, p.42. Christina Owens, Teacher"
8	2017-16-8B	Contract	Teacher's contract for Christina Owens, Geneseo Independent School District No. 6, Tama County, Iowa. Dated 1919. Filed by District Secretary C.T. Mitchell. A pre-printed form with two sides, handwriting in the blanks.
9	2017-16-8C	Letter	Letter from Mary A. Richards, county superintendent, to school boards, asking them to update their libraries. The letter notes that there is a new 1917 book catalog from the state. Richards emphasizes the importance of reading material for "the lower grades" and goes on to note that "A child cannot get a Geography or History lesson, in fact he cannot get any of his lessons until he can read well enough to understand the content of the lesson."
