1	UNIM1986.14.1980.5.1	Dress	Knee-length tailored day dress with blue woven design. Asymmetrical fold on front chest area, with bottom clasp behind a bow style belt. Clasps continue down the center of the dress, starting at the waist line. Two tags sewn into the neck entitled" Christian Dior New York" and "B. Altman and Co.". Donated by a former home economics professor who taught at the Iowa State Teacher's College.
2	UNIM1986.14.1982.5.9A	Blouse	Woman's two-piece nainsook day dress. Part A: Blouse has 18-button center front closure with dressmaker worked buttonholes and ruffles outlining square yoke front and back. All buttons are missing. Long sleeves with bell sleeves at the wrist. Upper sleeve has vertical tucks to take up fullness to fit. Gathered at bottom into ruffle band 3 1/2'' wide at wrist. Drawstring waist. Mandarin collar. Part B: Skirt with back placket and four 5'' bias ruffles at bottom. Two embroidered floral design inserts above ruffle. Back 41'' long. Lace, lace inserts, tucking and ruffles. Skirt is unim1986.14.1982.5.0009B.
3	UNIM1986.14.1982.5.9B	Skirt	Women's two-piece nainsook day dress. Skirt has back placket and four 5'' bias ruffles at bottom. Two embroidered floral design inserts above ruffle. Back 41'' long. Lace, lace inserts, tucking and ruffles. Originally numbered UNIM1982.5.0009b. Skirt with back placket and four 5'' bias ruffles at bottom. Two embroidered floral design inserts above ruffle. 4	UNIM1988.11.27	Dress	Chemise style. Off white edge trimmed in blue. Placket opening 4" l. Round collar, pin tucks from above bust running the length of the dress. 3 1/2" square patch pockets on each set of pintucks set below hip. Pockets are trimmed with 8 pintucks and 8 shank white buttons 3/8" dia on both sides of pockets 26" l. Back has pintucks in center back from collar to button of dress. Set in sleeves (long) with all white cuffs around outer edge of cuff. Neckline has 19" ties in center front for closure. 4" dressmaker hem. Belt ties in back.
5	UNIM1988.11.50	Dress	Scoop neckline front and back, wrap around with sash on drop waist. Sash faced with teal blue silk. No waist seam in front, waist seam back only- drop waist. Skirt is very short. Set in fitted sleeves, 5 pin tucks and 2 bows with gold metal buckles on top of wrist. Under waist 2 snaps for closure. Extra teal blue scarf 22 1/2" l x 10" at lower end. Blue silk trim on edge of wrap around fabric on belt side and on both edges of sash that is 4 1/2" w. Dressmaker hem shortened 4 1/2". "Mariam E. Andrews, Gowns, Marshalltown, Iowa" on label.
