This School was once closed for the building to be fumigated because of a polio outbreak.
School Details
The Prairie Gem School had a bell on top of the schoolhouse, but after the schools closing, it was bought by the Kent family and has resided on their farm since. The remainder of the building was used as grain storage and was later torn down.
