Jefferson No. 7 saw several names changes through the years it was open: Cottonwood School, Grace School, Lincoln School, Woodbine School, and Taylor School. It was sold at an auction on September 26, 1955 with other local schoolhouses. Some time after closing the school was moved into Mount Ayr and used as a home. It had been torn down by 2015.
