School Details
The Saltzman School (Poe No. 6) was open for the 1959-1960 school year, but closed shortly after. After closing, the building was sold at a public auction for $350. Some time later the Mount Ayr school district gained ownership, but the old school was eventually sold and moved once more to become a house southeast of Mount Ayr.
