Coil spring detonator from a Nazi booby-trap attached to knock-out German armored car in a field near Briquebec, France. The trap was rigged to be fired electrically off of the battery by the contact points in the coil spring. The object consists of a long strip of flat metal coiled around a flat "z" shaped piece of metal and a cylinder of metal; these two pieces were once attached but are now broken apart, the cylindrical piece has only a small piece of the coil still attached. There is a white residue on some areas of the object as well as some minor rusting.
