Wooden box for shipping yeast foam, manufactured by Northwestern Yeast Co. Box is held together by jointed corners and metal nails along the top and bottom of the sides. On all but one side of the box is faded black lettering describing the product, its uses, and the proper methods for storing and shipping. On the side without printed text faint cursive writing, done with a graphite pencil, can be seen, but it is too degraded to fully decipher, above this writing the letters "HOWI" have been shallowly etched into the wood. Some damage can be seen, including a gouge on one side which has exposed a nail, a crack on the opposite side through which light can be seen, and a thin crack running lengthwise across about 3/4 of the bottom.
