Carved wood, round flute with two bands of carved designs 1" below air hole at top. Top band has carved lines between 2 lines with carvings alternating from top and bottom lines. Second band of designs, geometric figures. Both bands do not extend into back. Along both sides at bottom there are 2 parallel carved lines extending 8 1/2" from bottom of flute on each side. Between lines are carved rectangular lines wider separated by uncarved space. Design does extend to back. Color: BR
