Cut in undulating pattern in one continuous line to central base. 9 graduated steps to center, which has multicolored paper picture of a woman in native dress from below waist to top of head. Picture pasted to bottom inside of basket. On reverse side bottom center has a pasted multicolored geometric design. Basket handle and base (stand) are cut from same piece of wood. Basket moves from flat position to "bowl" shape by swinging on 2 screws attaching frame to basket.
