Ted Kennedy visited Cedar Rapids, Iowa to speak at the Iowa Bar Association and promote the campaign of John Culver who was an Iowa senator and a college friend. Kennedy claimed he wasn't after the Presidential nomination but ended up running against and losing the nomination to Jimmy Carter.
