"Postcards". Set up by Aletha Jacobs on Dec. 25, 1909. 68 pp., green paper with 3 post cards on each. Most of the cards are colored although some are black and white. Most of the post cards say "Best Wishes", "Greetings" from various locations in Iowa and nearby states, "Happy New year", "Congratulations". Some have no saying but are just pictures of flowers or people. There are also some that show churches, libraries and various other buildings in Iowa in towns like Des Moines, Waterloo, Ackley, rowley, Indpeendence, Oelwein, etc. The outside cover is black. It has a gold line all the way around the book. In the center of the book also in gold is a tall flower that appears to be in a vase of some kind. Behind the flower are gold lines to form an oval & leaves on each side of the flower. The flower itself is outlined in gold but is colored white and black on the petals. Written in gold under the petals "Post - Cards". The inside cover has written in ink "Aletha Jacobs Dec. 25, 1909." In pencil on the top left corner is CP1/3/30. Color: GR
