Part of an Italian gun sight, found south of Tunis, Tunisia. Made entirely from metal; rectangular body with flared base, adjustable half-moon level at the top, and dials on either side with one for adjusting the top level and the other for determining elevation using the ruler on the side; the side ruler is for measuring elevation and is meant to slide back and forth along a track, the numbers on the bottom half count up 1-10 and the numbers on the top half count down 14-6. "VOLATA; CULATTA" is etched into the flared base on the same side as the ruler, various other things are etched onto the opposite side "LP.R.E", "MILLESIMI CONVENZIONALI", "Ma. 11576", and "S.A. MICROTECNICA". The object is corroded and damaged beyond functionality, none of the adjustable mechanisms are capable of movement most likely due to a buildup of rust and debris.
