Left sleeve has 3 patches: 41st Division patch hand embrodered on shoulder, red private's chevron on mid-bicep, blue overseas hand-embroidered chevron near cuff. Cotton lining extends to waist. Eye hook at collar; "U.S." taped in center of lining near collar. Left breast pocket in lining. Below, handwritten "J. M. Braswell, HQ, 149". Cotton pockets button to cotton lining. Back of jacket exterior has slit extending up 19" from bottom hem. 3 hidden buttons close slit; (1) is missing. Buttons have U. S. eagle motif in relief. At mid-line in back is a waist tightener with 2 large buttons.
