Vacuum pump with wooden base and has four legs each measuring approx. 9 cm tall. The hand pump has a wooden base and a metal pump with a wooden handle. The pump extends downward into a cylinder-shaped brass chamber. This chamber is approx. 27.3 cm tall. The chamber lid has "PAT. APPLD FOR" engraved on it. There is also a hole in the lid. The lid can be lifted. The inside of the chamber is covered with oil residue.Two brass tubes extend from the cylinder. They both lead into a smaller brass cylinder chamber that has "Central Scientific Co. Chicago" engraved on it. The top of the cylinder has a plug that can be twisted off. Extending from this cylinder is another brass tube that leads to the air pump plate. Heavy glass plate fixed to a cast iron base. There is a vent hole in the center that extends perpendicular from the plate approx. 7 cm. B. Oil tin approx. 15 cm in length. Bowl-shaped oil well is 6.8 cm in diameter. There is a thin, metal tube-like nozzle that extends from the well. The nozzle is 10 cm long. Color: BR,BK
