Woman's. Pillbox. Open crown pillbox formed over double layer of stiffened medium net, cocoa brown. Center of crown is uncovered; remainder of top and sides covered with flat feathers overlapping. color of each feather varies from soft brown to sage green. Bottom edge covered with 3/4' brow velvet ribbon. Entire hat is covered with medium weight brown veil extending 2 1/2' below bottom of pillbox; seamed at center back. Front of veil has chenille dots in diamond configuration about 3' apart. Associated with hatbox (1997.15.3.002).
