Around the edge is the inscription "Iowa State society of the Sons of the American Revolution, Organized Sept. 5, 1893." On the back is a bas relief of a feather pen, and the engraved words, " 1912. Awarded to Vina Younker" and "For excelling in the study of history of the United States."
