Folk Talkes book compiled by Amy F. Arey and May M. Smith of Iowa State Teachers College. Charlotte and Charleen Shaffer (Twin Sisters) enrolled at Iowa State Teachers College at 16 years old and graduated from the two year teaching program in 1950. They both taught second grade in Iowa, Missouri, Kentucky, and Las Vegas.
