2019-2-1 (Bell)

This bell is reported coming from the Scattergood school, a private Quaker school founded in 1890, two miles east of West Branch, Iowa. It was given to the Herbert Hoover National Historic Site sometime in the 1970’s. It is believe they used it for demonstrations and was placed on the front yard. It was later placed it storage. The yolk is still believe to be used at the Scattergood school for a different bell.
