Fertility figurine doll from the Ashanti people of Ghana. This figure made out of wood was used as a fertility blessing and was meant to be carried around and touched. There is a flat disk head with human features. A long neck and torso meets the downward breasts and outward stretched arms of the piece. In areas of heavy touching, the paint is worn down to light brown wood.
