2021-8-2 (Medal)

Box containing US Army Commendation Medal with Lapel pin and Ribbon. The medal has a hexagonal medallion hanging from a myrtle green and white ribbon. The ribbon has a thin white stripe on each end and five thinner white stripes in the center. The rest of the ribbon is myrtle green. The front of the medal has an eagle with the U.S. Shield superimposed on its chest, grasping three crossed arrows in its talons. The back of the medallion reads "FOR MILITARY MERIT" with a space to have a name engraved.  There is no name engraved on this medal.  The Lapel pin is a small rectangular shape, myrtle green with thin white stripes on each end, and five thinner white stripes in the middle. The ribbon is a little larger than the lapel pin, and is myrtle green with thin white stripes on each end, and five thinner white stripes in the middle. All are encased in a black box with a silver decorative band on the top, left of center. The words "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" is printed in raised letters on the top in bottom right.
